A friend loaned me the first ever sampling keyboard made by Roland. It had this green screen monochrome display that would show you the waveforms. It pretty much rocked my world. Anyway, this was my first attempt at really writing a song with it. The sample is from one of those records they made in the 60s with a woman's profile on it and it's instrumental/orchestral versions of pop songs. The song they were doing was "Can't get used to losing you" by the Merseybeat, I think. This may still be the most requested Volumen song of all time.. although, people usually ask for "Miniature Dancing Jesus" or something else like that. Then we'll play the song and they'll come back from the bar and ask for it again because they stepped out while we played it. Sheesh.
