Let me set the stage for you. Volumen-2 had fled Laramie for the greater good of Missoula. Volumen-1 had just earned his mathematics degree and had no idea what to do with himself. So, he took all of his graduation money and bought an effects processor and a drum machine.

He assembled a shitty studio in the Hickey House upstairs room and patiently waited for the effects rack and drum machine to arrive. That got boring.

So, he recorded some new songs. This song was later re-done with the drum machine and effects rack. Consider this the original sketch for the song that later became the Underwater from How do you spell...? and Super Confident Guy.

Oh yeah. Roughly 2 weeks later, Volumen-1 lost his mind and put his goldfish (Neilson) in the passenger's seat of the Black Van and drove to Missoula to live with Volumen-2. I think you can actually HEAR a little bit of that insanity in this track.
