Sharing and Caring

Sharing and Caring is the 4-track recordings made by Doug and Shane in the late nineties. Some of the songs from this period later became Volumen songs. Many did not. They were all recorded on a Tascam portastudio 4-track and almost all of them were recorded in Volumen-2's bedroom. Technically it was Volumen-1's bedroom also, but he never actually slept there. Many of the songs feature random party noise in the background and you can literally hear the beer spilling all over the place. It was during this period that Volumen adopted the slogan "Tape hiss is the sound that life makes".
